Cafe Zeitgeist was a happy accident. We had planned to eat at Gratitude Eatery, but when we walked in, we were greeted with a bit of an attitude and nearly everything on the menu involved mushrooms. You will learn that I am not a fan of mushrooms. The Portobello Mushroom seems to be the non-vegan non-vegetarian chef's answer to a vegan or vegetarian meal. But I digress. After fleeing Gratitude, we walked down the street and wandered into Cafe Zeitgeist. Though Ryan was skeptical, okay, it did look quite a bit like a bar, the food and ambiance were awesome. The ceiling was covered in beautiful hanging plants and little candles dotted the tables. The food was a little bit Middle Eastern, a little bit American, and a little bit German. Where else can you get schnitzel, naan, and a burger all on one menu? This turned out to be a wonderful happenstance. Our meal was delicious and the service was impeccable. They even let Ryan use an extra charging cord for his dying iPhone. Had we stayed in Munich longer, we would have gone back!
A pic from the Munich Philharmonic after dinner. We were full of falafel here and I don't think either of us is even slightly embarrassed to admit that we had trouble keeping our eyes open during the show!
