This weekend as I spent a little time tidying up my closet
after the chaos of our holiday travel that comes with packing and unpacking, I
realized there were a few key pieces that I had purchased specifically for
holiday wear. In thinking through my outfits for the week, I thought it might
be good to up the “cost per wear” of these items. So, I set out to see how I
could rework some of those glam-specific holiday looks into everyday work wear.
I settled on a tweed coat with ruffle cuffs and sequin details that I
originally wore over a black lace dress. Today, I paired this jacket with some
skinny black pants, a scallop hemmed shirt, black wedge pumps, and some pearls.
I like the simplicity of a white tee with the elevated sequin jacket. Despite
fighting a bad cold on this Monday morning, at least I started off the week
looking like I had it together!
