Couture: WFH Chic

Who knew the day would come when I would spend my days as a teacher sitting in front of a computer running online classes? I certainly didn't see this Covid-19 pandemic coming, nor did I see my long stretch of wearing stretchy pants.

Every article and website you turn to at this time has advice for WFH, most of which talks about forming a routine, maintaining interpersonal connections, and of course, taking breaks to exercise and move. All that is well and good, but I always find that how I feel is also connected with how I present myself - online or otherwise. So, I am making an effort to still be chic and feel put together, despite that I might not be wearing my designer duds, or even pants that actually require a zipper.

Here are some of my favorite WFH pieces. It's a great time to treat yourself because 1) we are supposed to take breaks and 2) every website seems to be having a sale. So, shop, click, and elevate your WFH uniform and surroundings.

Ugg Cozette Slippers, Nordstrom. The perfect footwear for the person who can't decide if they're too hot or too cold. I love the oh-so-chic neutral color.

ATM Sweatshirt, Nordstrom. This super soft pima cotton sweatshirt has a boxy cut. But, it looks like a regular top and has bracelet sleeves that make for easy typing and device maneuvering.

Align Leggings, Lululemon. Though these are not my favorite for cardio, and especially not for cycle classes, the Aligns are the most comfortable leggings I've ever worn. They feel like a second skin and are just the right middle ground between fitted and comfortable. They are available in a variety of colors, though I'm partial to the ankle length neutrals.

Zella All in One Jumpsuit, Nordstrom. This jumpsuit is made of sweatpant material - a cozy cotton - but if you threw on a cardigan and a necklace, or even a leather or denim jacket, no one on video calls would even know you're in a sweatpant onesie thanks to the pulled together look from the waist up.

Back in Action Long Sleeve, Lululemon. I love the ease of this top. It is a bit flowy in the middle, but it fits tightly in the arms. It comes in a variety of colors, even stripes. I own several and wear them with jeans, shorts, and of course, with leggings and sport bras.

Kennebunk Bliss Throw, Nordstrom. I own several of these throws. They are plush and cozy, and most importantly, they do not shed. I keep one on the back of my office chair and throw them right in the wash when they need a little refresh.

Anthropologie Capri Blue Confetti Candle, Nordstrom. If you haven't smelled the Capri Blue scent, it's so oceany and beachy dreamy that you will actually think you're there for a minute. Breathe deeply.
