The trouble with traveling is that you can only bring a set number of outfits... at the end of the day, the suitcase must close. Even if it involves sitting on it and then praying the seams don't give out before it arrives to your final destination. Much to Ryan's chagrin, I convinced him that we not only needed two carry-ons and two large suitcases each, but that we also needed his garment bag, without which I certainly wouldn't have been able to ferry my dresses over to Paris for Christmas Eve and Christmas. I mean, it's Paris. It's Christmas. The circumstances called for lace.
