Couture: Farmer's Market Fashion in Bellingham

This past weekend my mom, sister, and I spent a couple days in Bellingham on our annual girls trip. Our trips mostly involve drinking wine, shopping, and laughing. Each year, we drop by the Bellingham Farmers Market which occurs at the end of Railroad street every Saturday during the warmer season. Though we love the food vendors and people watching, one particular stand caught all of our eyes. What can I say? We like shiny things.

Still Waters Jewelry is made by local crafter Karen Kramer who creates exquisite pieces from high quality Czech glass, Austrian crystals, gemstones and metals. Not your average run-of-the-mill beaded bracelets, Kramer’s pieces are one-of-a-kind, high-end pieces of art.

I fell in love with a delicate single strand bracelet with blues, golds, and greens—the perfect complement to my summertime tan. I wore it immediately, pairing it with my Chan Luu wrap bracelet in similar earthy tones. Other notable pieces included the drop earrings and necklaces—I ogled the turquoise one featured on the black stand in the photo below.

If you find yourself in Bellingham on a Saturday, be sure to check out the Still Waters jewelry stand. You’re sure to walk away with something sparkly.
