If you haven't had a chance to wander along the highline path in New York, I strongly recommend it. In all our trips to New York, it's our most-frequented attraction (aside from Central Park). The views are breahtaking and the "trail" is lined with merchants selling locally made art and food. This visit to the highline was muggy. It was an overcast 90+ degree evening with nearly 100% humidity. I opted for a lightweight silk blouse and a white denim skirt. The highline is a great spot for photo opps... we took far more than I could fit on this page!
