Couture: Valentine's Gift Guide

There are some who might complain that Valentine's Day was invented by the commercial industry as a way to con consumers into buying unnecessary items and fueling the economy. I say those people are not romantic at all. And they clearly don't know where to shop.

I look at Valentine's Day as an excuse to be romantic and sweet, whether that's with your cowokers, your girlfriends, your signifiant other, your sister, your parents, your dog, etc. Everyone could use a little extra love in their life!

Here are a list of ideas, some of which I've given and some of which have been on my wish list for quite some time.

Heart Shaped Key Chain
Kate Spade happens to have a whole selection of heart themed accessories and clothing, just in time for Valentine's Day. Who can resist this cute AND functional little gift item? Shop the whole collection here.

Yours, Mine, & Ours Decanter Set
This spirited set includes two old fashioned glasses and a decanter. Handsome enough to leave out on a bar cart or to view through glass cabinets. Pretty and useful! Shop for the set here.

Crosley Turntable
Love your vinyls but no longer have a working record player? This one is retro-looking, with modern functionality. With an automatic return tonearm, an audio technica needle, and an integrated amplifier, your Marvin Gaye record will sound better than ever. Buy it here.

Tiffany Heart Earrings
First rule of romancing a woman? You can't go wrong with anything in a Tiffany box. While diamonds might be right for a super special occasion, Valentine's Day is generally for a sweeter little something. I love the Elsa Peretti line at Tiffany, particularly these sweet little open heart earrings. But, you can also get a set of the XX's, or just an XO, as a single and do a little mix and matching. Buy one set for now, give another set later. Here's the link.

Heart Sock Pack
I love this three-pack of trouser socks in three lovable pink, black, and white patterns. They even come pre-boxed which makes for easy wrapping. At $29.50 for the set, they're a bargain too! Snap 'em up before they're gone here.

Heart Shaped Pizza
And if your name is Ryan, you know that tradition means you are getting a heart shaped pizza as part of your Valentine's Day gift... a tradition running strong for 15 years now. This started back when a $7 pizza from Papa Murphy's was all we could afford. But, 15 years later, the tradition is still just as sweet.
