Couture: Sunny Yellow for Blue Skies Ahead

There's something about the color yellow in spring. Perhaps it's that in the PNW, most of our winter outerwear consists of drab grays, blacks, and the occasional navy, but when the sun finally starts breaking through the clouds, just as the daffodils and tulips start to peek up, I crave brighter hues.

And despite what you might be thinking, yellow is so very wearable. A great complement to neutrals, yellow is that perfect accent to your regular "uniform". Pair a fluorescent yellow tee with a nude belt and shoes, and you have a pop of color that also looks chic. Pop a bright yellow cross-body bag over a black and white striped dress, and you have an instant Audrey Hepburn meets Kate Spade look. Some of my favorite pieces in my closet are, in fact, yellow.

So imagine how thrilled I was to find that Tory Burch has incorporated this sunny hue into her Spring/Summer 2020 line. From dresses to bags to shoes, this Tory launch is all things limone. I've already purchased a few of these items from my wish list, even if the only wearing they get is within the confines of my own home as the quarantine continues! At least I'll be smiling as the sunshine radiates from my new ballet flats!
